Dr. Troy Gamble, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Troy Gamble, is a Board Certified Family Practice physician who is originally from Andrews, South Carolina. He practiced in Andrews, Columbia, and Florence before joining us. Dr. Troy Gamble is Chief Medical Officer at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. He sees patients by appointment at our Rural Health Center and also serves as one of our Hospitalists. He has more than thirty five years of experience and has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America” for seven consecutive years.
Dr. Gamble is a graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. After graduating from Wofford with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Gamble attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Upon graduation from MUSC, Dr. Gamble completed his Family Practice Residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina and also served as Chief of residency in his third year.
Dr. Gamble took his experiences learned during his Residency and opened up his own private practice in Andrews, South Carolina. He practiced in Andrews for over ten years before becoming the Associate Professor of the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University Of South Carolina School Of Medicine. During the four years he spent at the USC School of Medicine, he was also the Medical Director of the Family Practice Center. In 1998, Dr. Gamble opened up another private practice, South Hampton Family Practice in Columbia, South Carolina. During this time, Dr. Gamble served as Chairman of the Board for Palmetto Health.
In 2006, Dr. Gamble was hired by Carolinas Hospital System to develop the Hospitalist program for Community Health Systems. Dr. Gamble has achieved many professional awards and recognitions during his career. It is notable that Dr. Gamble has over thirty years of experience as a Hospice Medical Director.

Dr. Joseph Asaro, MD, FACS, Chief of Medical Staff & Chief of Surgery
Dr. Asaro specializes in General Surgery and Wound Care here at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. Dr. Asaro received his Medical Doctorate in Medicine with Highest Honors from Ross University School of Medicine in 2006, and completed his General Surgery training at the University of Buffalo in 2012. Dr. Michelle Butterworth, Podiatric Medicine, FACFAS
Dr. Michelle Butterworth, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, can handle any foot/ankle pain, deformity, and injury. Dr. Butterworth is Board Certified in Foot Surgery, as well as Rearfoot/Ankle Reconstruction Surgery, and specializes in Pediatric Flat Foot Reconstruction. Dr. Butterworth is also a Board of Director for the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Dr. Butterworth received her B.S. in Chemistry from St. Joseph’s University and her DPM from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed a four-year surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health Systems/Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Charlie Dorn Smith, III, MD
Dr. Dorn Smith is a General Surgeon, Vascular Surgeon, and Thoracic Surgeon at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. A graduate from the class of 1980 at Wofford College, Dr. Smith obtained his Bachelors of Science in Biology, followed by attending the Medical University of South Carolina and becoming licensed in South Carolina in 1985. Upon graduation from MUSC, Dr. Smith then received his Residency in General Surgery and also completed his Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery, resulting in Dr. Smith having over 25 years experience as a General, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgeon.

Dr. Wright Skinner III, MD
Dr. Wright Skinner III, MD, is a certified Orthopedic Surgeon specialist and has been practicing for over 33 years. Dr. Skinner is a graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. After graduating from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Skinner then received his M.D. in 1980 from the Medical University of South Carolina and became Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery in 1989. Upon certification, Dr. Skinner practiced as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Georgetown Memorial Hospital for 24 years. Dr. Skinner is well known for his development of the Minimally Invasive Total Knee Replacement for Zimmer. He is also Board Certified in Pediatric and Adult Orthopedics/Surgery and is the only physician performing the surgery in the surrounding area.

Dr. Inderpal Singh, MD, FACP
Originally from India, Dr. Singh did his Residency training in Cincinnati, Ohio and later Fellowship at Ohio State at Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Singh practices all aspects of Nephrology including chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and transplant; he is additionally Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Hypertension. Dr. Singh has been elected to The Fellowship of American College of Physician and to The American Society of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Singh is on the teaching staff at the McLeod Residency training program and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine through the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Singh received an award given by the Family Medicine Residency Program for Outstanding and dedicated service to the McLeod family Residency Program in 1999, and in the same year, he received an award for Excellence in Teaching by the Residents class of 1999.
Dr. Singh serves as a Medical Director for dialysis clinics in Kingstree, Lake City, and Florence and serves as the Chief of Nephrology at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Ariane Lieberman, MD
Originally from New York, Dr. Lieberman completed her internship and residency at Roger Williams Medical Center, located in Providence Rhode Island. She then went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to complete a Cardiology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Followed by relocating in South Carolina, which began her practice in 1995. Dr. Lieberman was one of two original Cardiologist in the Georgetown area and brought Stress Echo-cardiograms as well as Transesophageal Cardiograms (TEE) to the area, as these were not done prior to her arrival in the Georgetown area. To begin with, Dr. Lieberman had a private practice which then grew to a practice of 8, which included pulmonologist and neurologist. Once she felt that the practice grew to be too big, Dr. Lieberman then made the decision to begin working with Williamsburg Regional Hospital within the Specialty Clinic as a Cardiologist. Dr. Lieberman specializes in Hypertension, Heart Failure, Arrhythmia, as well as women in Heart Disease.

Angela Morris, FNP, is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, located in Charleston, South Carolina, while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
